About the conference

what?

The Policy Conference is the most important European conference dedicated to sustainable energy policy issues. Sessions organised by the European Commission and energy stakeholders debate new policy developments, best practices and sustainable energy ideas, while networking events forge alliances. Outstanding projects are recognised at the Award Ceremony.

when?

EUSEW2018 will take place from 5 to 7 June 2018.

where?

Two venues host the Policy Conference in Brussels’ Schuman district: the European Commission’s Charlemagne building, and the Residence Palace nearby. The buildings are five minutes apart on foot.

who?

Public authorities, energy agencies, industry associations, businesses, civil society organisations and the media are all invited to take part in the conference. Past speakers and participants have come from city councils and the European institutions, private companies and research organisations, citizen groups and NGOs.

Why?

The EU Sustainable Energy Week is an opportunity to meet stakeholders promoting energy efficiency and renewable energies, learn about successful policies and inspire innovation to meet the EU’s energy and climate goals.

How to get there?

From the Brussels National Airport (Zaventem)

Take ‘Airport Express’ bus (line 12) and get off at ‘Schuman’. Alternatively, take a train to Brussels and get off at ‘Schuman’.

From the Charleroi Airport (Brussels South)

By bus with Flibco, from Brussels South to Brussels Midi. Then take the train to Brussels Schuman or the metro to ‘Schuman’. Also, by taxi from Brussels South to Rue de la Loi, 170, 1000 Brussels.

By Metro

Metro Line 1 or 5 and get off at ‘Schuman” station (see www.stib.be).

By Regional Train

Stop at ‘Schuman’ station.

By Local Bus

Please note that shuttle service will not be provided by the conference organisers between the airport/train station and the conference venue and that taxi expenses will not be reimbursed either.
