Climeate Protection - how can the market make a difference?
With the ratification of the Paris Agreement on climate change, the world community has set itself a number of challenging targets which require the close collaboration of all partners involved. Emissions trading will play a central role in ensuring that these challenging targets are met.
EEX has offered the trading of emission allowances since 2005, and today we conduct primary auctions of emission allowances on behalf of 27 EU Member States.
This year, the Chinese national trading system will begin – representing another important milestone on the road to the global pricing of carbon emissions.
The EEX Parliamentary Evening will raise the question "Climate Protection - how can the market make a difference?"
Participation in the event requires confirmation by EEX. For further information please contact Political.Communications@eex.com.
