Energy and Power. Social ontology perspectives and energy transitions

Two different workshops have been organised, one on 9 June (15:00-17:00) and one on 13 June (9.30-13.30), both at the University of Turin:

a) Crude oil and the apeiron. In spite of electrification, digitalisation, nuclear and renewable energy, IT and the Web, is crude oil in the global economy and post-industrial society still the apeiron of our world? (Franco Ruzzenenti Institute of Sociology, Jagiellonian University, Krakow)

b) Sites of production of energy without carbon emissions: Social history of nuclear and renewable energy sites in Italy and France. This workshop will present the activity of the Italian-French partnership/Galilée programme (Universities of Turin, Trieste and Aix-Marseille) on the social history of nuclear and renewable energy sites in Italy and France. (Speakers: Barbara Curli and Dario Padovan (Università di Torino), Elisabetta Bini (Università di Trieste) and Cesare Mattina (Università di Aix-Marseille), Pierre Fournier (Università di Aix-Marseille))
