IEA Energy Efficiency in Emerging Economies Training Week
The IEA will host its second Energy Efficiency in Emerging Economies Training Week from 6 to 10 June 2016 in Paris, France. This event is central to the IEA’s ongoing engagement with emerging economies and will be attended by up to 100 ‘next generation’ energy efficiency professionals, primarily from government institutions. The aim of the training event is to equip junior energy efficiency policy makers with the skills to be more effective in their roles and as a result of the training, we expect participants to be able to bring fresh knowledge and skills to their work. They will also become part of the international energy efficiency community with a large support network to call upon as they progress through their careers. The programme will consist of parallel courses on energy efficiency in 1) buildings; 2) industry; 3) lighting, appliances, and equipment; and 4) transport – each offering a mix of lectures, interactive discussions, practical exercises and a site visit.
