The Roger Léron Award 2016 Ceremony will take place on Wednesday, 15 June 2016 in Brussels, where our honoured Jury will hand out the prize. The Award is named in memory of Roger Léron, a pioneer of regional energy development in Europe and one of the FEDARENE founders who also served as its President for over a decade (1995-2007). Deeply rooted in local and regional development, he had a far-reaching vision for a greater European sustainability.
This Award acknowledges a long-standing overall contribution by an individual/organisation to sustainable energy at the regional/local level in Europe.
The ceremony will be the opportunity to reward the concrete contributions of women and men on the ground, who are helping us to re-think our society by supporting the energy transition and preventing further impact on our climate.
The ceremony will take place at the Palace of the Academies, Trone room, 1 rue Ducale, in Brussels. The evening will be followed by a networking cocktail.
