Solar collectors and heat pumps - what are their testing and parameters for?
When designing and evaluating renewable energy systems with features such as solar collectors, heat pumps or heat storage, engineers, authors of energy reports and auditors use materials from manufacturers that include parameters from laboratory tests. They often do not have practical experience in using and adjusting parameters from laboratory tests in the real environment.
This one-day workshop aims give a practical background for testing these devices in relation to the parameters. It includes topics such as how to use the parameters in calculations when evaluating energy-saving measures and achieving planned savings, and how to re-calculate the parameters for different conditions. The workshop will include an excursion to a solar laboratory, a heat-pump laboratory and a heat accumulation laboratory, with online monitoring of testing and interpretation of results.
