Windtrust | Reducing the Cost of Wind Energy Generation
As with all energy sources, the key to greater competitiveness is to increase the cost-effectiveness of energy generation processes. In the case of wind turbines, this means ensuring the highest possible levels of reliability and availability by optimising design, operation and maintenance phases.
The WINDTRUST project aims to further enhance the design of three key components with high improvement potential: rotor blades, power electronics and wind turbine controller. During the past three years, key industrial players and research centres have developed and tested innovative designs for these components and are now ready to present their findings during the 2016 EUSEW.
This final event will be an opportunity for all interested stakeholders to learn about the innovations developed by Windtrust, and to meet project partners during a networking reception.
