Sophie Billington

Sophie Billington is an energy economist and project manager at Cambridge Econometrics, specialising in the application and development of large-scale macro-econometric models for policy analysis.

Besides working on the projections of the future (2020/2030) levels of residential self-generation uptake of the study on Residential Prosumers in the European Energy Union, other recent projects that she has contributed to include:  for the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills, a qualitative and quantitative examination of the impacts of the EU services directive; for the Law Society, analysis of the impact of increases in competitiveness and technological change in the legal sector in the UK; and for the European Climate Foundation (ECF), an assessment of the macroeconomic and competitiveness effects of decarbonising light-duty vehicles in Europe.
