The Integrated Urban Plan: methodology for the design of a sustainable urban development strategy for European cities
The Urban Regeneration Model for European cities (URM) has been developed as a methodology to help cities make the best mix of innovative technical and non-technical solutions to accelerate their transformation into smart and more sustainable cities. An insight into the URM and how it can bring European cities forward will be presented to the audience.
Next, the city of Valladolid (Spain) will be presented as a case study. Representatives of the Municipality of Valladolid (Spain), a city leader in the field of electric mobility and energy efficiency, will illustrate how the development of its Sustainable Urban Development Strategy was shaped by the URM.
Finally, the webinar will shed light into how and why the URM could also be used by other cities interested in undergoing similar urban development paths as Valladolid.
