PANTERA Workshop “Pan European Research and Innovation activities for Smart Grids, Energy Storage and Local Energy Systems”
The European Commission has made a commitment to tackling climate and environmental challenges by adopting a new growth strategy – The European Green Deal. It aims to “transform the European Union into a fair and prosperous society, with a modern, resource-efficient and competitive economy where there are no net emissions of greenhouse gases in 2050 and where economic growth is decoupled from resource use”. The energy sector decarbonisation plays a pivotal role in achieving climate neutrality, which will require a significant acceleration of common clean energy research and innovation efforts. Therefore, no Member State shall be left behind.
This workshop will explore the performance and challenges in European R&I in the field of Smart Grids, Energy Storage and Local Energy Systems that could be facilitated through PANTERA.
