As shown in the EU Long-term energy and climate strategy, the implementation of energy efficiency measures and the inclusion of the Energy Efficiency First principle into all future planning are essential if we want to achieve a climate neutral EU by mid-century. Nonetheless, energy efficiency seems to remain the forgotten pillar of the transition, left behind other actors, when in reality they should be working synergically.
To change this view, we will launch a digital campaign to promote case studies showing success energy efficiency stories across the European Union. The implemented solutions, carried out by our members, will be translated into brochures with both technical and practical details. We will show the attendants of EUSEW19 that energy efficiency is, indeed, a growth agenda that can deliver benefits to the EU in terms of growth, jobs, and social welfare to citizens.
