Energy system integration: powering a climate-neutral economy

EUSEW 2020 | Day 2 | Energy System Integration: Powering a climate-neutral economy

Today, the energy transition is often approached in sectors: electricity, gas, heating and cooling, transport, and so on. However, in order to meet the ambitious energy and climate objectives of the Green Deal, we need to take a holistic approach. We need to bring all energy sectors together into one coherent, integrated system.

This session will discuss which technologies and regulatory changes will be required so that an integrated energy system can make the energy transition a success. It will also present the current thinking of the European Commission on this topic in the context of the energy system integration strategy.

During the online panel discussion, we will try to involve the audience and hope for a lively debate!
