The ManagEnergy Talks are keynote speeches delivered by well-known experts of the sustainable energy field. It seeks to inspire others to spear head the drive for investment and action on sustainable energy. Rob Hopkins, founder of the Transition movement, has been announced as main speaker for the first edition. The transition movement is a radically hopeful and community-driven approach to creating societies independent of fossil fuel. Transforming theory to action, Hopkins is also the co-founder and a resident of the first Transition Initiative in the UK, in Totnes. In this talk, Rob will offer learnings from the Transition movement, and how bottom-up change can make very real impacts.
