Pierre Tardieu has been at WindEurope – formerly the European Wind Energy Association – since 2011 and has been working on renewable energy and environmental policy since 2006. He has coordinated the Association’s advocacy on a number of issues including the Renewable Energy Directive, state aid guidelines and trade policy. He is currently is Chief Policy Officer at WindEurope. He is in charge of coordinating WindEurope’s outreach in view of maintaining a stable regulatory framework favouring the development of the wind industry. Pierre focuses on policy related to the EU Climate and Energy framework, support mechanisms and State aid. He is also in charge of the trade related files spanning from multilateral and bilateral free trade negotiations, to raw materials access. He has a background in political science and European affairs and is a graduate of the College of Europe, Paris Catholic Institute and Science-Po Strasbourg.
