Chris Evans

Chris Evans has provided representational support to ANEC, the European Consumer Voice in Standardisation, since its inception in 1995.

At that time he was working for Which?, the UK consumer organisation where he became Head of their Research and Testing Centre before leaving to head up his own consultancy specialising in developing and implementing product policy.

Over a 30-year period, he has built substantial expertise in the development and use of regional and international test standards. Expertise used to develop and support the introduction of Energy labelling and Ecodesign (MEPS) and consequential market surveillance on energy using products in more than 20 countries worldwide.

He co-developed the recent and continuing EU market surveillance programmes: ECOPLIANT, MSTyr (www.mstyr15.eu) and  EEPLIANT1 & 2 (www.eepliant.eu ).
