III SOSTURMAC Open Days: heritage, energy efficiency and renewable energies for sustainable tourism
Participants will have the opportunity to know SOSTURMAC Project, co-financed by the EU INTERREG MAC 2014-2020. The Institute of Technology and Renewable Energies leds this project, transferring its experience in the development of low carbon technologies and in the management of a Zero CO2 tourist accommodation: ITER Bioclimatic Houses. AIET organizes guided tours to ITER's facilities combined with workshops about natural and architectural heritage of Canary Islands and Cape Verde, raising awareness about the importance of preserving our heritage and the possibilities of bioclimatic architecture, energy efficiency and renewable energies in the domestic and in the tourism sector. The event will show how the sustainable tourism can be an opportunity for socioeconomic improvement and environmental protection, promoting sustainable actions on the natural and architectural heritage.
