Bartlomiej Arendarski studied electronics and telecommunication at the Wroclaw University of Technology in Poland and graduated with a M.Sc. in 2005. He completed a Marie Curie Early Stage Research fellowship at the Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation IFF in Magdeburg, Germany, from 2006 to 2009 and became a research manager there. In 2012, he joined the Department of Electric Power Networks and Renewable Energy Sources in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, were he accomplished his PhD in 2015. His special fields of interest include multi-criterial planning of power systems, integration of renewable energy sources, storage and digital communication, optimal operation and reliability analysis of smart grids.
